Making your clothes look good on you is our specialty.

 

We specialize in Men's, Women's, and children's alterations, including formal and business attire. We approach this with absolute perfection. Other tailors and seamstresses focus on speed and efficiency,  at Alvina's Tailor Shop we focus on Quality. We take our time to do it  right.

We have altered all different kinds of garments from the most expensive to the more reasonably priced. Each garment is treated with the upmost respect and careful attention to detail. We do professional work every time.  Every garment is  steamed, bagged, and ready to wear in most cases.  We have over 35 years of experience, resulting in superior quality and satisfaction. We are a family owned business. All of our customers are treated like members of our family . We have been at this location  going on 16 years. Our tailoring experience comes from 11 years of working with  Frost Brothers  at North Star Mall. We have a relationship with Tommy Bahama at La Cantera and are their preferred alteration professionals. Tommy Bahama refers all their alteration needs to us. Alvina's Tailor Shop is now under contract with Delta / Northwest Airlines, and we are providing all their San Antonio based employees with  superior alteration services as requested by the company.  

    Alvina's Tailor Shop looks forward to serving San Antonio and the surrounding areas for many more years to come.

Our hours of opperation are as followed:

Tuesday-Friday 9:30am-6:00pm

(with a lunch from 12:00-2:00 pm)

Saturdays 9:30-1:00 pm

During our lunch time we are available for appointments only. Please call in advance to schedule an appointment and we will be happy to accomadate you.
